Pain Relief Medications
The path to pain relief lies in the power of applying different
healing medications and therapies in a way that compliments
your needs, beliefs and personality. During the last few decades
many new pain relief medications have become available. While
each of medications on this page offers pain relief, YOU remain
the key to your pain reduction.
Common types of pain relief medication
There are four main types of pain relief medication
- non-opioids, such as acetaminophen and NSAIDs
- opioids, such as codeine and morphine
- local and regional anaesthetics, such as lidocaine and
EMLA
- adjuvant drugs, such as tricyclic antidepressants and
anticonvulsants
Common types of pain
Acute pain, such as occurs with trauma, often has
a reversible cause and may require only transient measures
and correction of the underlying problem. In contrast, chronic
pain often results from conditions that are difficult
to diagnose and treat, and that may take a long time to reverse.
Some examples include cancer, neuropathy, and referred pain.

exactly the same ingredient. The real difference is in the
lowest price of generic drugs. The drug inside is identical!
